The Forest Sound Park (숲소리 공원) is a spacious park located in Geoje-myeon, covering an extensive area of 16,4887 square meters (approximately 40.75 acres; 49,879평). As you can see from the photos, it is designed to provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience for visitors. A friend of mine who is from Geoje-myeon informed me that the park was constructed in 2018 with the intention of combining animal and plant elements to create a therapeutic environment for all who visit.
Surroundings and Spacious Parking Lot
Upon arriving at the park, you will be immediately enchanted by the breathtaking view of Geoje-myeon and its surrounding adorable houses. A parking lot offers ample space for cars, including a high-speed EV charger. Interestingly, it seems that the EV charger is often unused, so if you happen to drive an electric vehicle, you can have the charging station all to yourself.
A Cozy Coffee Shop
Upon entering the park, you will come across a management office and a cozy coffee shop located in the same building, providing a convenient starting point for your adventure.
Trail Zone
Prepare yourself for a delightful stroll along the Trail Zone, where you can walk along a slightly sloping wooden trail, surrounded by trees, while hearing the gentle flow of water from a small stream beneath the trail. The trail is a bit hilly, providing a invigorating walk that will get your heart pumping. Along the trail, you will also come across small flower gardens that add charm to the surroundings. As you make your way to the upper parts of the park, there are areas where visitors can observe the growth of ladybugs and shiitake mushrooms.
Playground Zone
As you reach the end of the trail, a spacious Playground Zone awaits. Children can freely run and play, enjoying swings, slides, see-saws, playground climbers, spring riders, tubes, and more. It’s a vibrant area where kids can have a blast.
Animal Experience Zone
However, the main highlight of the Forest Sound Park is the Animal Experience Zone situated at the top of the park. Here, you will be introduced to a charming community of around 20 sheep and 20 rabbits. There is a vast 9,622 square meter (approximately 2.38 acres; 2912평) meadow where the sheep play and graze on green grass. Visitors are even provided with the opportunity to feed them, creating a memorable experience, especially for children who love interacting with animals.
