Yeah!! Finally, I created my first blog!!
Welcome to the “Geoje Story” blog!! On this blog, I will take you on a journey through the island of Geoje located in the southern part of South Korea, showcasing its natural beauty (or ugliness), culture, and history. I will also share personal stories of my post-retirement life in the island.
What do you get by reading this blog? You will learn about hidden attractions to visit and do in the island, from the scenic hiking trails to the beautiful beaches and historic sites. You will also become to know some delicious local cuisines and modern cafes with amazing views of the ocean. Moreover, you will be familiar with the rich history of Geoje, from its role in ancient Korean history to its modern-day development. Finally, you will be able to see how a retired professional gets a leg up on her newfound free time and gets her post-retirement life back into a new balance.
Please note that my blog posts are far from perfect. Even though I plan to write my blog regularly (perhaps, one or two per week), I may not be able to make it in time. And my blog posts may not show up in chronological order. They may contain some minor errors, whether technical, grammatical or factual. Despite all these, I will do my best to be a sincere blogger!
